Cognitive Hypnotherapy is a life-enhancing model of therapy that achieves wonderful results and brings great benefits to my clients.
Essentially, it helps you to recognise how underlying beliefs you have about yourself affect your thoughts, feelings and behaviours – how they are all inter-connected and affect each other, and how by changing an underlying negative belief, you can begin to change your whole experience of life for the better.
Cognitive Hypnotherapy also uses natural mind coaching techniques to enable you to identify and release unwanted or unhelpful thoughts or emotional patterns and behaviours. In this way, you are helped to build new, more helpful patterns of thinking and feeling that will then produce preferred behaviours or habits. Unconscious emotional triggers that will have lead to your problem are naturally released, and as a result you are able to be more how you really want to be.
Cognitive Hypnotherapy draws upon a range of highly effective solution-focused therapies such as NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), Timeline Therapy, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and Positive Psychology. These all provide gentle yet powerful methods to help you make changes to your thinking by gaining new perspectives. They help you understand yourself and those around you better, as well as helping you to gain insights into how and why you do what you do.
NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) is a highly effective form of “Mind Coaching”, derived from the latest scientific findings on how the mind works. It recognises that all our behaviours are learned, and so views a problem as simply being a “strategy” we have developed – a way of thinking and behaving that causes us to be stuck in a negative pattern. So just as we have learned a (negative) way of doing something, we are also able to “un-learn” it, and learn a new and better way – easily and naturally. In this way, any problem – whether big or small – is just a strategy that can be changed through new learning, understanding and perspective.
Importantly, this new learning is on both a conscious and unconscious level, which means that your positive changes become instinctive and you can therefore begin to experience the benefits quickly – often in just a few sessions, or sometimes even a few hours.
Performance, Sports & Personal Coaching is included within sessions as needed, and can be added on after your therapy is completed for further enhancement.
